About Sweet pea

Even in the seasons when the flowers aren’t blooming, there is still a lot of work related to sweet peas!
Let’s take a look behind the scenes of sweet pea cultivation.

Soak the seeds in water for 1 to 2 days until they swell, then scatter them onto trays.
Once the seeds start to sprout, they are placed in a refrigerator at 2°C for about a month, where they are exposed to cold (vernalization treatment).

8月

After harvesting green peppers and chinese lantern plans, compost, plant fibers, and fertilizers are spread and the soil is tilled.
Ridges are formed, the greenhouse is sealed, and soil disinfection is carried out.

9月

The seedlings are taken out of the refrigerator and planted into the ridges of the greenhouse.
After waking up from their cold winter dormancy, they eagerly grow, thinking, “Spring has arrived!” and begin to grow rapidly to bloom as quickly as possible.

10月

Remove the side shoots and train the plant to a single stem, securing it to the net with clothespins.

11月

As the flowers begin to bloom, it’s finally time for shipment!
We hope to bring happiness to many people. (During the shipping season, sleepless days continue…)
The tasks of removing side shoots, removing tendrils, and lowering the vines are repeated until March.

3月

The harvest season is nearing its end.
The sweet peas are harvested by cutting the branches, marking the approach of the end of the season.

11月

We are clean the sweet peas thoroughly.
Thank you, sweet peas, for the past 7 months.
The seed collection greenhouse will continue to be maintained to ensure good seeds are collected.

5月

The seeds are like baby peas.
When they start to make a rattling sound, we collect the seeds before they burst open. This is how they pass the baton of life to the next generation.
